I only go out to the movie theater when a film that I have to experience in a theater comes out. For example all the Sonic movies that will come out in the future I will be there watching them in the theater as soon as I can watch them! Everything else I'll just wait for it to come out on a streaming platform and watch it at home.

Experts are saying that in 10 years AI should be able to do anything a human can. Which is kind of scary to think about. I do think some jobs will be replaced by AI, but there's always going to be the need for the human touch I believe. I know people were thinking that computers were going to take away all the jobs back when they were still somewhat new. I suppose the cycle is repeating itself!

I've always been a hockey fan since I was a young boy. My parents only ever watched hockey, they never got into other sports. We always kept up with our home team, whether it was on tv or on the radio. I was getting into Nascar a bit too when my Uncle was alive and stayed with us for a bit. I might get back into it someday.

I've heard about Pixelfed when I was first learning about the Fediverse. Looks like I've got another Fediverse instance to join! I haven't used my Instagram in such a long time, and since I'm not a Mark Zuckerberg or Meta fan, it's great knowing there's a Fediverse alternative.

I'm more of a cat person myself. I've always had cats my entire life and they've always been chill and loving at the same time. Dogs can get overwhelming to me since they get hyper quite often.

Both my wife and I prefer to shop online and we use Amazon. All of our furniture other than our chairs and mattress came from Amazon. Heck even the computer I'm using to type this very sentence up came from Amazon! Most of the time you can find some good quality products on Amazon, but I did get some cheap, terrible radios back in November that didn't work right or sounded bad.

I would say TikTok is, but if they're going to ban it here in the United States again then I can't really call it the best. Youtube Shorts are decent, but I think people might just use Bluesky once TikTok is banned again in the US.

@JoshB U2 has some bangers and I feel like they're similar to Nickelback because there's so many people online who don't like their music. Anyways my favorite band of all time is Blink 182! I love punk pop and I have many fond memories playing video games and listening to Blink 182 with my best friend growing up.

I've only uploaded videos to Youtube, but another good alternative if you want to take the time to host it yourself is Peertube. To be fair, it's probably best you host things yourself because you never know when their mods will remove videos. One person on Reddit lost access to all their childhood home movies they uploaded because the automoderator flagged them and removed them. He reached out to one of the human moderators but they wouldn't restore his videos.

Control is one of my wife's favorite games. She's a huge fan of Remedy games, though Alan Wake is her favorite from the team. I haven't played the game myself but I have watched her play it here and there. The game looks amazing, and the story is cool too.

I have a gaming rig but these days I find myself playing my Xbox Series S more than anything. I've always been more of a console gamer, but pc gaming is fine too! PC gaming does have an advantage, mods.

3 minutes is quite short, but remember many platforms used to have small limits on videos. Youtube used to have limits, so did TikTok so this isn't anything new for a upcoming platform. DM filtering is a must have feature for any social media platform. You'll get trolls or even spammers trying to contact you if you're content goes viral. With how many people have been moving over to BlueSky recently, I think these updates will help it in the long run for sure. I prefer BlueSky to other platforms because there's better moderation and generally people are nicer on BlueSky IMO.

@JennyorAlice In my house this is usually how we celebrate Christmas! We open gifts on Christmas Eve but have dinner on Christmas day and just relax. I started doing this when my wife and I moved in with her parents.

I picked up this game for the PS5 yesterday since I was on the lookout for some more roleplaying games for my collection. Turns out this is a indie game that won best indie game of 2019 so that's cool! It's a roleplaying game that throws back to the earlier days of JRPGs. I haven't had a chance to play it yet but it's on my list of games to play next. I thought it looked cool from the images on the back of the game. Best of all, it's turn based which is my favorite type of RPG! One of the characters reminds me of Tai from Digimon since he wears goggles lol. I try to go to the doctor every six months. This doesn't always happen though, sometimes things come up and I have to reschedule my appointment. I do need to see this doctor to make sure my prescriptions are working and if they need to be adjusted. Sometimes I can see her via telehealth.

I've only dyed my hair once when I was 28, I dyed it green! I was working at Walmart and they changed their hair color policy and since I had never dyed my hair before I decided to go with my favorite color. I won't do that again though.

I'm constantly listening to music while working on my projects on my computer. Heck I listen to music when I'm at work too! So I'm using either Youtube or Foobar 2000 to listen to music on my computer. I've also used Open Office Calc whenever I need to keep up with posting exchanges or content bundles I'm working on. It's their version of Excel btw.

Have you ever checked out Lemmy yet? It's a Reddit alternative that's part of the Fediverse! Lots of people have been ditching Reddit lately due to their moderation issues and have been joining Lemmy. I joined via discuss.online and got approved quick. If you're wanting to join I highly recommend joining via that instance. I don't use an app to browse Lemmy on my phone, so you'll have to do your own research if you're looking for a mobile app to access Lemmy.

Honestly I would love to improve on my coding skills. Right now I'm okay at modifying other programmer's code, but it'd be nice to write my own code. It would help with my hobbies like being an admin on a few forums, I could eventually learn to work on themes or plugins.
