@ozoned Tangentially, you may be interested in knowing that @Wikidata, the structured database of the Wikimedia projects has a property for Mastodon. Currently, a SPARQL query (press the blue play button) gives 8,507 accounts there.

@ozoned I don't have any great ideas. It may be worth noting that there already is a community Mastodon instance too, at https://wikis.world

@ozoned well, I think most Wikipedians with Fediverse presence are quite happy to add it. Also since accounts on Wikipedia are pseudonyms it would be rare to be able to match a Fediverse account with the Wikipedia one with automation and accuracy.

@ozoned what is nice though is that Wikipedia offers verification of the account, see my profile page here for the link to my Wikipedia user page.

@ozoned any Wikipedia user is free to show their PeerTube or Mastodon handle on their user page. As the user pages are totally manual and optional, there is no way to automate or force it.

@ozoned I would guess that for "regular" uploads Youtubes own interface is used.
For streaming, I use Streamyard to stream to both PeerTube and YouTube at the same time (and Twitch and Facebook for now).
