Deciding On Your Home Base Within The Fediverse

With using NodeBB and now Ghost being able to tie into the Fediverse, it kind of brings up the thought of where should your home base be within the Fediverse. You can have your account on a NodeBB forum sending out posts to Mastodon, Lemmy, and Piefed but you can also have a separate Mastodon account. This could start to become a bit complicated in keeping tracks of things. It's making me think that perhaps I could move my interactions with the Fediverse onto my NodeBB forum account here. While also keeping my Mastodon account as a backup for now, until we get the ability in moving our NodeBB account to a different server, like we can with Mastodon.
What are your thoughts on this?
