This is my new living room I moved into just a month ago. it’s not done yet. But this morning, the sun came blazing into the eastern-facing windows, and filled it with warm light.
This move has been stressful, and the world is stressful, and my art efforts are stressful, and not knowing literally anyone here in our new town has been stressful…
I’ve never felt so discombobulated in my life. I’ve experienced deleterious stress impacts on my physical and mental health before, but not the kind of ripple effects I’m dealing with now.
So feeling the pleasant glow in my new living room almost broke me this morning. I have to remember the little things that I take for granted. Because they’re not little things. They’re some of the most important things in the world right now. Things that remind us w’ere human. Things that help ground us. Things that can’t be taken away.
I am going to take a walk.

@ina It did, actually. I’m a 10-minute walk through my residential neighborhood to get to a nice business hub that includes a post office, a Japanese store, a toy shop… There are a lot of places there that I’m going to enjoy walking to and exploring. A lot of really cool food places, too (if we can afford them…hehe…)
I needed it. There are a lot of pretty flowers along the way, too. Lots to take photos of!
