#OtD 4 May 1897 Giovannina Caleffi was born in Italy. Fought the fascists in the Spanish civil war with her husband, who was murdered by Stalinists. She was then jailed by German Nazis, then Italian fascists, then joined the Italian resistance https://stories.workingclasshistory.com/article/10458/giovanina-caleffi
