Cook Serve Delicious 2: The Kitchen Simulator That Will Break You
-
I just published my full review of Cook Serve Delicious 2, and I needed to create this thread because I'm still recovering from the culinary PTSD this game has given me.
Has anyone else experienced the unique joy of frantically assembling nachos while a kitchen fire rages and three toilets need cleaning? I thought I was signing up for a cooking game, not a stress management seminar disguised as entertainment!
Some highlights from my experience:
- The progression from "I can handle this" to "WHY ARE THERE 12 ORDERS AND A FIRE?!" happens with alarming speed
- The Zen Mode is a godsend for anyone with high blood pressure
- I now reflexively press invisible buttons whenever I see someone eating a hot dog
- My respect for actual restaurant workers has increased tenfold
I go into much more detail about the gameplay mechanics, progression system, and whether the stress is actually worth it in my full review: https://2tonwaffle.com/cook-serve-delicious-2-a-frantic-culinary-adventure-that-will-leave-you-hungry-for-more/
For those who've played it: Which restaurant did you find most challenging? And does anyone else feel personally attacked by the customers who can't flush their own toilets?
For those considering picking it up: What's your tolerance for chaos on a scale from "casual Stardew Valley farmer" to "thrives on Dark Souls punishment"?
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
