I have been keeping tabs on Owncast. I love the freedom it gives for being self-hosted and more so as a creator, having control of my content and community is truly awesome.

Owncast is a great piece of software and is truly stable for livestreaming. I've been using it for a few years now and is part of the places I stream too.

I've been feeling a little restricted by Twitch, and I'm really keen on looking into alternative platforms. Definitely looking into YouTube Live right now and I think it's way better.
