For me I have Stephen King in a top spot for favorite authors but, Hugh Howey is going to be getting his spot on the wall for me.

Go check out Joe Hill. It's a pen name used by Stephen King's son. He's a horror author as well.

Neil Gaiman is one of my favorite authors. I love his haunting literary works. His unique storytelling style is as a results of his expert way of blending fantasy elements with mythology and folklore.

I've read some stuff from Neil Gaiman. I know I've read the Graveyard Book before. I also have another book on my shelves that I haven't gotten to yet.

Gabriel Garcia Marquez, a Colombian writer, is my favorite author. I have read his all works, and I do not think there can be better than him on the genre he writes.

Agatha Christie is my favourite because I like the mystery genre. Her writing skill and clever design help to maintain the reader's attention all through. She is indeed a genius.

I love Agatha Christie. I've read several of her books and I've a couple of more that I haven't gotten to yet.

In my opinion J.R.R. Tolkien stands at the top of my favorite authors list. Neither his creative world construction nor his epic tales with deep historical and mythological aspects matches any other writer. His storytelling really captures my attention.

I've read the Lord of the Rings trilogy but it's been some time.

I haven't read any of his other stuff though. Just the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings.
