I wonder when Google is going to enshitify Maps. I don't use it, but I imagine they can make shit tons of money by having maps redirect you to every single McD's drive through on your way from point A to B.

@ozoned They already did, it's almost impossible in my town to find businesses that don't advertise, and it announces the location of major spots as I drive along.
It suggests detours through driveways, it can't do routing offline anymore, and downloading my whole state still doesn't allow fully offline access.I mean, there's room to get worse, though.
I switched to open street maps several weeks back, been loving it.

@mbybee I run Organic Maps and magic earth myself. Not perfect, but better than the shit you're saying. Google is so awful.
