Audiobooks count?

Do you think audiobooks count as reading? Why or why not?
-
I believe that they do. You are still experiencing the book in a manner that may be different but, you are living through the words and the world the same way as if you were reading it.

Not only that, some people have quite the commute to work but can't read so they listen to audiobooks to pass the time while they drive back and forth to work.

@JennyorAlice I use to do that with podcasts, listen to an episode on the way in and home from work. Also doing the day as well.

I know some people who will listen to audio books as they are driving because they either have a fairly long commute or they drive a lot for their job.

I am old school person, reading for me is to scan the written/printed letters. Therefore, reading is only reading printed or digital books. You listen to autiobooks, you don't read audio books.
