    TechCrunch posted an article covering the demise of NaNoWriMo, stating in that several aspects contributed to the non-profit shutting down. I think a lot of people dropped it last year due to the AI controversy where they stood on allowing AI submitted works. I believe that this wasn't a good position as it allowed gaming the system and destroyed the overall feeling of what NaNoWriMo was all about. Why put in the effort when you could spend just a few minutes writing a prompt and copying and pasting the result each day.

      I don't even know what NaNoWriMo is.

      But....some places just shut down because they make a bad choice (or they've made several bad choices) that resulted in loss of business. Once business is lost, it is hard to get it back.
