Besides bans against murder and stealing, part of every code of law since the beginning of time, name how the remaining 8 Commandments are enforced by law.

Besides bans against murder and stealing, part of every code of law since the beginning of time, name how the remaining 8 Commandments are enforced by law. Coveting? Legal. Adultery? Legal. Having other gods? Legal. Bearing false witness... in a court of law, maybe. Making a graven image of things in Heaven? We can do that. Honoring father and mother? Required by law?
Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. Have those things ever been laws? Is there a 'right to purity' that blockades court buildings, denying people the right to a divorce because Jesus said it's adultery?
Nope.
That said, "slaves, be obedient to your masters" is in the New Testament, and that horrible thing about an ear and an awl is in the OT, so if you're talking about slavery, yep, totally Judeo-Christian.
There's nothing worth celebrating there.
And this pervasive myth will be promoted by every fundy Christian nationalist until the end of time and it won't become more true for the repetition.

It was the fucking Puritans, Mike. That's who you're thinking of. The Puritans. The ones who burned witches, Mike. They weren't the founding fathers. They were religious zealots that got kicked out for being assholes and ruining England. They weren't fleeing persecution. They were fleeing to a place without accountability so they could persecute.
That's the echo of history you're really yearning for.
