@josh I think we’re all making discoveries about where to find our peeps. It’s not just you. You aren’t alone. Folks are sorta becoming disillusioned on multiple levels all over the place.
I sympathize. I looked at my followers here on Mastodon tonight, and of the 1.5K I’ve got, 640 of them haven’t been on since before December. I keep making donations to various platforms and I’m going broke, with no returns. I’ve sold all of three things since mid-February, and none of them were because I was on the Fediverse… I’m left trying to decide if I’m naively stubborn that I stay or I’m naively deluding myself I’m even a half decent artist. Jury’s still out. LOL!
I get it. But I see a lot—a LOT—of folks complaining about all the other platforms, too, and how they’re screaming into the void in their own ways, too. It’s not just you. Or me. It’s a thing that’s bigger than both of us.
Just know I, for one, hear you. I get it. You’re not alone.
