Not talking about luxury items, but rather those purchases that initially seem pricey yet prove their value over time. My example: a high-quality mattress. What's your 'expensive but worth it' item?

That's what I was going to say. My hubby and I bought a new bedroom set a couple of years ago and we got a new mattress with it as well. I like sleeping on the new mattress (or newer mattress).
