YouTube is the most popular platform for video sharing and streaming. However, it is also a very competitive platform, especially if you are a new creator or a new streamer. How do you compare other platforms like Twitch, Kick, Vimeo, etc. with YouTube. Do you think there are other platforms better than YouTube?

I've only uploaded videos to Youtube, but another good alternative if you want to take the time to host it yourself is Peertube. To be fair, it's probably best you host things yourself because you never know when their mods will remove videos. One person on Reddit lost access to all their childhood home movies they uploaded because the automoderator flagged them and removed them. He reached out to one of the human moderators but they wouldn't restore his videos.

I've never used anything except Youtube. I primarily use Youtube for listening to music while I'm working on my laptop.
