So yesterday here in Eureka, CA (our new home community as of just under 2 months), it was overcast and cold and rainy--typical weather for the area that most of the locals have grown to embrace and love.

In fact, we went to a parade. In drizzle. Everything here happens “rain or shine”. No stopping them.

And today, it’s bright and shiny, with the sun beating down in all its glory. It’s still just 52° with a brisk breeze, but it’s so gorgeous. I opened the blinds in our unfinished living room/parlor and the light just streamed in…

It’s important to acknowledge these things. It’s important to appreciate the light, the grass, and the green.

@ina LOL! It is cozy when we can crank up the fire for two hours and get the temperature in the room past 65°!! LOL! Otherwise it’s jacket-weather indoors! LOL!

I’ve found a lovely blue woven blanket throw I can drape over my shoulders to keep warm (it’s very dramatic and artsy fartsy—I love it!!). I sometimes feel like an anime character. LOL! Now all i need is spiky hair, which sadly, I don’t think I’ll ever get. Maybe I can pull off the sage uncle type? Hm. 😆
